Students from the Department of Art Education at the College of Fine Arts, Al-Mustaqbal University, presented their theatrical performance “The Martyr,” receiving strong audience engagement in a powerful artistic work that embodied values of sacrifice and national belonging. The play portrayed the story of an Iraqi hero who sacrifices his life for the الوطن, presenting the martyr as a symbol of giving and devotion. Its scenes reflected themes of resilience and faith in a homeland sustained by the sacrifices of its people. The performance also highlighted the heroism of the Iraqi army and the عظيمة sacrifices made to defend the nation, through emotionally impactful dramatic scenes that conveyed courage and determination. The play carried educational and national messages aimed at strengthening belonging and reinforcing human values among students, while emphasizing the role of theater in addressing societal issues and promoting national identity. The audience highly praised the performance, commending the students’ expressive acting and the meaningful message delivered through this distinguished artistic work.
