The Scientific Assistant in the College of Arts, Assistant Professor Dr. Maytham Abdul Khadr Jabaz, organized a scientific workshop today, Thursday, April 9, 2026, for students of the English Department that addressed the Sustainable Development Goals and ways to enhance awareness of them. The workshop included a presentation of the most important themes of sustainable development, with an explanation of the role of educational institutions in consolidating these concepts among students, as well as the importance of employing humanistic disciplines, including the English language, in spreading the culture of sustainability at the local and international levels. The workshop was attended by a number of students from the department, where emphasis was placed on the importance of students' contribution to supporting initiatives aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
