As part of the activities of the Fourth International Future Forum, the Technical Engineering College at Al-Mustaqbal University enhanced its distinguished scientific presence through its prominent participation in the First Future Fuel and Energy Forum, held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Energy Research Center. The event was sponsored by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University, and directly supported by Assist. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College, affirming the university’s commitment to supporting scientific research and keeping pace with rapid developments in the fields of fuel and energy. The forum’s activities commenced under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul-Kadhim Fathi, Head of the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies, with the inauguration of the participating companies’ exhibition. Leading organizations such as Afaq Al-Fada Company, Khairat Al-Bahr Company, and the Oil Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Oil took part, adding a significant practical and industrial dimension to the event. The forum included a scientific panel discussion attended by a select group of academics and experts, including Dr. Ammar Ali Abd (Director of Scientific Affairs at Al-Qasim Al-Khadraa University), Dr. Ridha Khudair Al-Rubaie (Representative of the Oil Research and Development Center), and Prof. Dr. Alaa Dhari (Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Oil Industries at the College of Engineering – Al-Mustaqbal University). The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Kazem Fntail Al-Sultani from the University of Babylon. Discussions addressed the most prominent challenges facing the energy sector, as well as prospects for transitioning to sustainable energy. The forum also witnessed the presence of prominent figures from the fields of oil, gas, and energy, including Mr. Ali Habib Zahwi (Technical Support Manager at DEA for the Middle East and North Africa), Dr. Anwar Qassem (Secretary of the UNESCO Green and Digital Sectoral Council), Dr. Muthanna Khalil Ibrahim (Representative of Khairat Al-Bahr Company), in addition to representatives from the College of Engineering – Al-Musayyib. This forum formed a prestigious scientific platform that brought together academics, experts, and university students to exchange knowledge and expertise and to strengthen cooperation between academic institutions and industrial sectors, contributing to the advancement of sustainable development in the energy sector. The forum concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the organizers and participants, in recognition of their distinguished efforts in making this outstanding scientific event a success.
