Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, the Department of Computer Engineering Technologies organized a scientific forum entitled “Sustainable Digital Transformation: Integration of Modern Communication Technologies, Computer Networks, and Embedded Systems” on Wednesday (15/4/2026), as part of the activities of the Fourth International Sustainability Week at Al-Mustaqbal University.
The forum aimed to highlight the latest innovations in smart systems, where participants discussed mechanisms for integrating modern communication technologies, computer networks, and embedded systems, and their role in developing advanced digital infrastructures that contribute to efficient data processing and achieving sustainable digital transformation.
The forum also emphasized the importance of Computer Engineering Technologies as an integrated engineering discipline that combines computer science and electronic engineering, contributing to the preparation of qualified professionals capable of keeping pace with rapid technological developments.
The event included a number of specialized scientific lectures covering topics such as cybersecurity in the era of quantum networks, intelligent robotics applications, and energy efficiency in communication technologies to achieve sustainability goals, in addition to presenting an innovative drone project for security purposes by the department’s students.
The forum concluded with honoring the participating lecturers and showcasing distinguished student projects, reflecting Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to promoting sustainability concepts, supporting academic innovation, and strengthening scientific cooperation with Iraqi universities.
