Professor Hassan Shaker Magdy, President of AL-Mustaqbal University, took part in the 4th International Scientific Conference on Women’s Sport, organised by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad under the theme “Entrepreneurship Applications and Knowledge Parks: Prospects for Excellence in Sports Sciences”. The University President attended alongside Dr Adnan Al-Jumaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Administrative Affairs, representing His Excellency the Minister, in the presence of high-level guests including the Prime Minister’s Adviser, the President of the Iraqi Academics’ Union, a number of MPs, university presidents, deans of physical education faculties, as well as professors, researchers and students from the faculty. Dr Hassan Shaker Majdi expressed his appreciation to the organisers of this scientific conference, emphasising the importance of linking academic research with entrepreneurship. He also emphasised AL-Mustaqbal University’s support for initiatives aimed at developing women’s sporting talent, expressing his hope that the recommendations would yield practical solutions that serve female graduates and open up new opportunities for them in the labour market, thereby promoting entrepreneurial excellence in sports science. During the conference, ways to strengthen academic cooperation between Iraqi universities were discussed, with a view to supporting scientific research and achieving sustainable development goals within the academic community.
