<br />The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the results of the Iraqi University Ranking 2024, in an effort to develop the educational environment and measure institutional and programmatic performance indicators, as well as research progress.<br /><br />This edition, prepared by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, assessed 100 public and private institutions, compared to 95 institutions last year, according to 10 special axes for measuring institutional performance, including:<br /><br />Institutional accreditation standards (20%)<br />Global rankings (10%)<br />Research effectiveness (35%)<br />Educational laboratories (5%)<br />Evaluation of the scientific and academic reality and compliance standards (5%)<br />Faculty members (4%)<br />Awards (5%)<br />Diversity and international cooperation (10%)<br />Student sports club (3%)<br />Occupational health and safety (3%)<br />Meanwhile, 2072 scientific departments in 100 public and private universities and colleges were evaluated, compared to 1875 departments in 95 universities last year, according to specific criteria for measuring the performance of scientific departments, including:<br /><br />Program quality and accreditation (50%)<br />Faculty members (25%)<br />Global rankings of academic specialties (25%)<br />The ranking results (https://iru.asse-gate.gov.iq) showed that the Technological University ranked first, followed by Anbar University and then Mustansiriya University at the level of public universities, while Al-Mustaqbal University achieved the first rank at the level of private universities and colleges, followed by Warith Al-Anbiya University in second place and Al-Islamiya University in third place.
