Distributing a brochure on 7 steps to overcome depression

In line with the slogan "Towards a Sustainable University" and the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Good Health and Well-being), the Anesthesia Technology Department distributed a brochure on seven steps to overcome depression. These include practicing self-acceptance with all its virtues (good and bad), as well as practicing preparing for situations of sadness or disappointment that may arise.<br />Putting yourself into enjoyable situations when feeling sad, such as watching comedy movies, reading funny stories, or chatting with friends about enjoyable things, helps relieve stress and forget sadness.<br />Expressing feelings to relieve sadness or disappointment, such as telling a trusted person about your feelings, crying, or writing down your feelings in a personal diary.<br />Exercise, as it increases serotonin in the brain and the release of endorphins, which helps with relaxation and improving mood.<br />Doing enjoyable activities that you enjoy, such as planting trees, drawing and coloring, cooking, embroidery, etc., helps you feel better.<br />Traveling or leaving an environment that makes you feel bored, sad, or depressed.<br />Practice positive thinking and an optimistic outlook on the world.<br /><br />The activity was conducted by Ms. Yasmine Mu'ayyad Khalil<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University is the leading university in Iraq.
