Workshop on the General and Specific Standards of the National Council for Program Accreditation of Technical Engineering Education

As part of the activities of the Third International Sustainability Week, and under the patronage of the esteemed University President and the respected Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, a specialized workshop was held at the college entitled:<br />"The General and Specific Standards of the National Council for Program Accreditation of Technical Engineering Education."<br />The workshop was organized by the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division in cooperation with the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering.<br />The session featured a distinguished group of experts in the field of accreditation and quality, namely:<br />Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Abbas Abdullah<br />Chairman of the Technical Engineering Program Accreditation Council<br />Prof. Dr. Ahmed Jasim Sultan<br />Rapporteur of the Technical Engineering Program Accreditation Council<br />Senior Chief Engineer Ahmed Sameer Jawad<br />Director of the Accreditation Department / Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority<br />The workshop provided an in-depth explanation of the requirements and standards for technical engineering program accreditation, mechanisms for preparing self-evaluation reports, and monitoring the quality of academic programs in alignment with accreditation standards.<br />This workshop aligns with the fourth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which emphasizes: "Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all."<br />Through such workshops, the college aims to improve the quality of higher education and enhance the efficiency of academic programs to better serve society and meet labor market needs.<br />The event witnessed a wide attendance of faculty members and academic staff. It also featured many scientific discussions and dialogues that contributed to clarifying key concepts and enhancing the readiness of academic departments for upcoming accreditation steps.<br />This workshop is part of a series of activities organized by the college as part of its continuous efforts to improve the quality of education and implement best academic practices.<br />Al-Mustaqbal University, the First in Iraq
