College of Law, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education at Al-Mustaqbal University, organize a scientific workshop on “Human Rights”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the esteemed President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and as part of the University’s efforts to enhance institutional accreditation and develop the scientific and academic capacities of its faculty and staff, the College of Law, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, organized a scientific workshop entitled: “Human Rights.” The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law, with the session moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Reda Abdul-Aati Al-Feshawi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education.<br /><br />The workshop witnessed the attendance of a number of faculty members and staff, with notable interaction and fruitful discussions. It addressed several key themes, most prominently: the general concepts of human rights in international and national law, the historical development of the human rights system, the relationship between public freedoms and legal responsibility, the role of academic institutions in promoting a culture of human rights, as well as the constitutional and legislative framework of human rights in Iraq.<br /><br />This workshop comes within the framework of the joint activities between the College of Law and the Center for Continuing Education, aimed at developing competencies and enhancing legal and human rights culture within the university community.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University – the top university among private universities in Iraq.
