Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Lecturer Dr. Abdulrahman Abbas Ad’ain presented a seminar entitled: "Intellectual Extremism and Its Threat to National Identity," on Sunday, 8/3/2025, as part of promoting the Sustainable Development Goals at the College of Law. The seminar addressed the dangers of intellectual extremism on society and national identity, with the speaker focusing on the legal and cultural dimensions of this threat. He emphasized the importance of raising societal and educational awareness to counter extremist ideas and preserve national values. Preventive methods and legal measures aimed at protecting youth and society from intellectual deviation were also discussed. This seminar reflects the College of Law’s commitment to equipping students with the legal and cultural knowledge necessary to strengthen national belonging and active citizenship, and to confront intellectual challenges that may threaten societal stability, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals related to peace, justice, strong institutions, and gender equality.
