The Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hussein Waheed Aziz, participated in the scientific workshop organized by the Department of English Language and Literature in cooperation with the Department of English Language at the College of Education, as part of the university's Drug Awareness Week activities. The workshop discussed ways to employ language and literature in raising awareness of the dangers of drug abuse, highlighting the role of language in shaping preventive discourse, in addition to reading literary texts depicting the psychological and social effects of drugs. In his speech, the Dean emphasized the importance of the educational role of the humanities departments in supporting awareness campaigns, praising the scientific cooperation between the two colleges and the efforts of professors in preparing content that enhances students' awareness and protects society from the danger of drugs.
