Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, the College of Law organized a panel discussion titled “The Role of the Arabic Language in Legal Drafting”, held on Wednesday, 19/11/2025, in the college hall – Humanities Building. The seminar was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Zainab Khalid Mohi, a faculty member in the College of Law, who discussed the importance of the Arabic language in legal drafting as the primary tool for legislation, codification, and the formulation of judgments and decisions. She highlighted its role in enhancing precision and clarity while reducing ambiguity in legal texts. She also addressed the principles of proper drafting and the necessity of preserving linguistic accuracy and constructing legal sentences in a precise manner to ensure the effective achievement of legislative objectives.
