Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, the College of Law organized a panel discussion titled “The Role of Health Institutions in Combating Drugs” on Saturday, 22/11/2025, in the college hall – the Humanities Building. The discussion was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Qasim Hantoush, a faculty member at the College of Law, who addressed the role of health institutions in combating drugs by outlining their preventive, therapeutic, and awareness-raising responsibilities aimed at limiting the spread of this phenomenon and promoting community health. He also highlighted the importance of integrating efforts among health, legal, and security entities, as well as the need to develop educational and legislative programs that help reduce this danger, emphasizing the role of sound health policies in achieving prevention and reducing rates of drug use and addiction.
