Awareness Campaign on Violence Against Women at the College of Engineering Technologies

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering Technologies and the members of the Quality Assurance Division, organized a comprehensive awareness campaign titled “Together to End Violence Against Women”. The campaign included the preparation and distribution of an educational brochure aimed at raising awareness within the university community. The campaign was prepared and implemented by: Asst. Lecturer Duaa Hazem Aziz Asst. Lecturer Esraa Mohsen Kazem Asst. Lecturer Asmaa Diaa Saeed The initiative aims to raise community awareness within the college about the risks of violence against women, introduce its various forms, and highlight legal and social measures that ensure prevention and support. The campaign also seeks to promote a culture of respect and equality, reinforcing values of justice and human dignity, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 5, which focuses on gender equality. The awareness brochure covered several key topics, including: Identifying the forms of violence that women may face. Explaining women’s legal and social rights and available protection measures. Promoting a culture of non-violence and strengthening community responsibility and solidarity. Supporting the creation of a safe educational environment based on justice and peace. This activity is part of a series of educational programs implemented by the college and the Women’s Affairs Division to empower female students, enhance awareness of human rights, and build a conscious university community characterized by respect, safety, and security for all students.
