The Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies Accompanies Students from the Power Mechanics Engineering Department on a Scientific Field Trip to a Solar Cell Complex Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, the Power Mechanics Engineering Department organized a scientific field trip for third-year students of the Renewable Energy Branch to a specialized complex for installing and operating solar cells, on Monday, 18/11/2025. The visit aimed to familiarize students with operational mechanisms, practical practices, and to connect theoretical knowledge with field applications—enhancing their applied skills and supporting the sustainable development goal related to clean energy. The students were accompanied by Asst. Lecturer Asmaa Mohammed Hameed, Asst. Lecturer Mohammed Sabah Malik, and Engineer Israa, where they had the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies used in the field of solar energy and its practical applications, as well as observe the stages of installing and operating solar complexes on-site. The department’s administration emphasized that such scientific trips reflect the Dean’s commitment to providing students with direct practical experience and deepening their understanding of modern engineering applications, contributing to the preparation of highly qualified graduates capable of competing in the job market. The trip also aimed to strengthen the students’ applied skills and link theoretical knowledge with real-world practice in alignment with sustainable development goals.
