According to the announcement of the University President, Al-Mustaqbal University has maintained its leadership among Iraqi private universities for the sixth consecutive year in the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2025. The university ranked third locally among 87 participating Iraqi universities and achieved significant global progress by securing the 166th position worldwide out of 1,745 universities included in this year’s ranking, despite the notable increase in participating institutions.
The university also recorded outstanding performance in the Water (WR) and Education & Research (ED) indicators, achieving first place in Iraq in both categories. This accomplishment reflects the university’s success in enhancing resource management and embedding sustainability principles within education and research programs.
It is worth noting that the UI GreenMetric Ranking is published annually, and it is considered one of the most important global rankings measuring universities’ commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and green campus practices.
