Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Technologies, Prof. Dr. Mahdi Abdul-Kadhim Abdul, a scientific symposium was held on the occasion of World Soil Day titled: “Sustainable Soil Management” The symposium was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mahdi Abdul-Kadhim Abdul and Prof. Dr. Majeed Kazem Abbas, Head of the Department of Medicinal Plants. The event highlighted the importance of this international day, which is celebrated by the United Nations and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Emphasis was also placed on the connection between sustainable soil management and human health through the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, including: • No Poverty (Goal 1) • Zero Hunger (Goal 2) • Quality Education (Goal 4) • Climate Action (Goal 13) Al-Mustaqbal University ranks first among private universities in Iraq.
