Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, the College of Law organized a panel discussion titled: “Combating Extremist Ideology in the University Environment” on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in the college hall – Humanities Building. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Qasim Muhammad Hantoush, who addressed the importance of confronting extremist ideology within the university setting and ways to promote intellectual awareness and adherence to moderate values among students. The discussion also covered the role of families, educational institutions, and societal organizations in fostering a culture of tolerance and openness, as well as the importance of awareness programs aimed at limiting the spread of extremist thought on campus. At the conclusion of the seminar, the presenter emphasized the necessity of continuing awareness initiatives targeting students, reinforcing values of moderation and discipline, and supporting efforts to strengthen intellectual security and campus peace.
