Under the patronage of Al-Mustaqbal University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, and as part of the College of Law’s activities in combating extremist ideology, the College organized a panel discussion titled: “Cabinet Governance in Confronting Extremist Ideology”, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in the College Hall – Humanities Building.
The lecture was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Waleed Khalid Al-Ghanami, who discussed the role of Cabinet governance in developing policies and procedures that help limit extremist ideology, in addition to mechanisms for enhancing coordination between governmental, security, and educational institutions to implement effective programs in this field. He also highlighted the importance of adopting national strategies that promote moderation and openness while reducing the spread of extremist ideas within society, especially among youth and university students.
At the conclusion of the session, the lecturer stressed the need to develop sustainable awareness programs that strengthen intellectual resilience among students, contributing to the consolidation of intellectual security and societal peace.
