College of Engineering Technologies Organizes a Scientific Trip to the United Company for Plastic Industries

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, a scientific field trip was carried out to the United Company for Plastic Industries, as part of the College of Engineering Technologies’ plan at Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance students’ practical skills and strengthen cooperation with industrial institutions. The visit was organized by the Scientific Affairs Division and the Student Activities Division, with the participation of a group of students under the direct supervision of the college’s academic staff. The delegation was received by Mr. Salah Mahdi / Company Security Director, who welcomed the participants and expressed the company’s readiness for future academic collaboration. The delegation was then accompanied by Eng. Mustafa Jamal / Assistant Director of Planning, who provided a detailed explanation of production lines and manufacturing processes—starting from raw material storage, through processing stages, and ending with final shaping, packaging, and production. He also presented insights about the machines and technologies used in plastic manufacturing. Students showed high engagement during the tour by asking questions and discussing engineering challenges. It was agreed to prepare a Case Study on key technical issues observed during the visit, supporting students’ analytical and practical skills. Discussions were also held with company officials, including: Eng. Mustafa Jamal – Assistant Director of Planning Eng. Alaa Enad – Engineering Services Officer The meeting addressed opportunities for future cooperation, including providing on-site internships for students and potential job opportunities for graduates within the industrial sector—aligning with the university’s approach to connecting educational outcomes with labor market needs.
