Medical Physics Department Organizes a Scientific Field Trip to Imam Al-Sadiq Teaching Hospital in Support of Sustainable Development Goals

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, the Department of Medical Physics organized a scientific field trip for third-stage students to Imam Al-Sadiq Teaching Hospital. The visit was carried out by Asst. Lect. Dr. Doaa Jaafar Diaa and Asst. Lect. Najwan Thaer Ali, and included educational activities and informative stations where students were introduced to the modern medical devices used in the hospital and received explanations on how they operate. Students also engaged with medical staff, enriching their practical experience. This activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including: SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by promoting community health awareness and supporting a safe medical environment. SDG 4: Quality Education, through exposing students to advanced medical technologies and providing them with insights from both local and international medical professionals. SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by highlighting the importance of accessibility to health and educational services and fostering supportive learning environments. Al-Mustaqbal University – the first university in Iraq.
