Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, and as part of the scientific activities of the College of Law, the College organized a dialogue seminar entitled:
(Contractual Justice and Its Controls in the Iraqi Civil Law)
This seminar was held on Sunday, 14/12/2025, in the College of Law Hall – Humanities Building.
The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Mona Mohammed, who addressed the concept of contractual justice and its importance in achieving balance between contracting parties. She explained the legal foundations adopted by the Iraqi legislator to ensure the protection of contractual will and to prevent abuse in the exercise of rights, particularly in light of contemporary economic and social developments.
The seminar also reviewed the most prominent legal controls governing contractual justice in Iraqi civil law, highlighting the role of the judiciary in consolidating this justice through the interpretation and application of legal texts in a manner that achieves fairness and maintains legal stability.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the lecturer emphasized the importance of enhancing students’ legal awareness regarding the principles of contractual justice, given its effective role in building a sound legal culture that contributes to the protection of rights and the achievement of societal peace.
