The College of Fine Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University organized the “Colors of Birth” Symposium (Color Festival) on the occasion of the New Year celebrations, held at the Student Activities Tent on campus, in a vibrant artistic atmosphere reflecting creativity and cultural celebration.
The event was held under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Mazen Hadi, as part of the university’s commitment to supporting artistic creativity and nurturing young talents. The symposium is considered one of the most prominent student art events in recent times.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice Presidents of the University for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, representatives of the Babil Directorate of Education / School Activities Division, as well as Prof. Dr. Amer Sabah Al-Marzuk, Dean of the College of Fine Arts at the University of Babylon.
The symposium witnessed active participation from several artistic and educational institutions, including the Institute of Fine Arts in Karbala and the Russian Higher Institute of Culture and Arts, in addition to delegations from colleges, institutes, and art schools from various Iraqi governorates, giving the event a distinctive local and international character.
The exhibition featured a diverse collection of artistic works created by students and participants, including oil paintings, glass painting, glazing and ceramics arts, handicrafts, and sculptural works, all of which demonstrated a high level of technical skill and artistic professionalism.
The symposium received wide acclaim from attending academics and artists, who emphasized that the event represents a qualitative leap in student artistic activities and contributes to strengthening Al-Mustaqbal University’s position as an academic institution supportive of fine arts and cultural creativity.
