Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a distinguished scientific milestone by ranking among the top 15 Iraqi universities in scientific publishing, based on Web of Science data analysis for the period 2020–2024. The university recorded 3,192 published research papers, reflecting significant growth in research productivity and international publication.
Qualitative indicators revealed strong research impact, with the university achieving a CNCI score of 1.28, exceeding the global average, and 16.07% of its publications ranked within the top 10% worldwide by citations, highlighting a balanced performance in both research quantity and quality.
In a statement to the university media, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, affirmed that this achievement underscores the university’s growing research standing and its institutional commitment to advancing scientific research as a cornerstone of sustainable development and the knowledge-based economy.
