Cardiac surgery is witnessing rapid advancements thanks to progress in medical technologies and scientific research, leading to improved success rates and reduced surgical risks. One of the most significant developments is minimally invasive surgery, performed through small incisions, which reduces pain and hospital stay. Surgical robots have also revolutionized the field by increasing precision and minimizing human error. Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) has emerged as an effective option for patients unable to tolerate open surgery. Furthermore, 3D printing has played a crucial role in creating anatomical models that assist surgeons in pre-planning complex procedures. Mechanical heart support technologies, such as ventricular assist devices (VADs), have contributed to saving the lives of patients with advanced heart failure. Artificial intelligence has also emerged as a tool for predicting complications and improving surgical decision-making. Immunological sustainability and anti-inflammatory techniques have enhanced recovery and speeded healing. Overall, these innovations have contributed to improving the quality of care and reducing mortality, making the future of cardiac surgery safer and more effective.
