The College of Fine Arts, specifically the Department of Design, organized a specialized workshop in Interior Design, presented by Teaching Assistant Nargis Reda. The workshop focused on designing various spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, as well as residential and commercial properties, with an emphasis on diverse furniture styles and interior and exterior décor approaches.
The workshop included practical applications of using a wide range of materials such as fabrics, glass, wood, ceramics, wallpaper, and other materials commonly used in interior décor, highlighting the role of each material in achieving aesthetics, functionality, and visual comfort within designed spaces.
The workshop also emphasized the smart and sustainable use of materials to reduce consumption and promote environmental awareness, in line with contemporary interior design requirements and sustainability concepts.
This workshop contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) by supporting applied learning and skill development, and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through promoting sustainable and eco-friendly interior design practices.
