Al-Mustaqbal University announces the extension of the application period for the International Summer Research Training Program 2026 at the University of Colorado, with the final deadline set for February 15, 2026. The University of Colorado is one of the leading research universities in the United States and is classified as a Carnegie R1 institution. The program targets undergraduate students in their final years of study and offers participants the opportunity to obtain an official certificate, as well as the possibility of applying to graduate programs at the same university. Program Overview The program aims to provide students with an advanced hands-on research experience through working in state-of-the-art laboratories and collaborating closely with distinguished faculty members and award-winning researchers across a wide range of academic disciplines. Program Highlights Applied research experience at a leading American research university Work in advanced laboratories under the supervision of highly qualified academic and research faculty A wide range of research fields, including: Biomedical Sciences Business Administration / Data Analysis / Finance Computer Science Engineering Health Sciences and Humanities Mathematics Natural Resources Natural Sciences (Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry) Flexible program duration (4, 6, or 8 weeks) On-campus university housing A scholarship from the University of Colorado covering 50% of housing and meal costs An official certificate of completion supporting the student’s academic and professional career Program Dates First Cohort – Starting June 1, 2026: 4 weeks: June 1 – June 29 6 weeks: June 1 – July 14 8 weeks: June 1 – July 27 Second Cohort – Starting June 15, 2026: 4 weeks: June 15 – July 13 6 weeks: June 15 – July 27 Eligibility Requirements Applicants must not hold U.S. citizenship Undergraduate students in their final year of study Currently enrolled in an accredited university Academic major must be relevant to the selected research field Estimated Costs After 50% Scholarship 4 weeks: USD 1,750 6 weeks: USD 2,300 8 weeks: USD 2,850 The above costs do not include airfare or personal expenses. Visa Information Participants will apply for a J-1 (Student Intern) visa, and the University of Colorado will provide full support and guidance throughout the visa and immigration process.
