Professor Dr. Dakhel Nasser Taha Organizes a Scientific Workshop on the Importance of the Cumulative GPA in Motivating Students
Professor Dr. Dakhel Nasser Taha organized a distinguished scientific workshop for second-year students, focusing on the topic of the cumulative GPA and its vital role in motivating students to study and achieve academic excellence throughout their four years of study.
During the workshop, Dr. Dakhel explained that the cumulative GPA is not merely a number displayed on a transcript, but a true measure of a student’s academic performance over the years. He emphasized that understanding how the cumulative GPA is calculated allows students to set clear goals for their academic future and plan their studies more effectively.
He also discussed the motivational role of the cumulative GPA, noting that it serves as an incentive for students to remain committed to academic achievement and pay attention to every course, since every effort made during the semester directly affects the GPA. He explained that this self-motivation helps students develop consistent study habits and enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which positively reflects on their academic and professional performance in the future.
Dr. Dakhel further highlighted that the cumulative GPA plays a significant role in opening various opportunities for students, including postgraduate studies, scholarships, and even employment after graduation, making commitment and diligence more than just an obligation, but an investment in their future.
The workshop witnessed active participation from the students, who exchanged questions and ideas about improving their academic performance, time management strategies, and ways to balance study with other activities. Dr. Dakhel stressed the importance of creating a personalized study plan for each student and continuously monitoring their performance to ensure their academic goals are met.
The workshop concluded with a reaffirmation that the cumulative GPA serves as a powerful motivational tool, encouraging students to study diligently and excel, reflecting the true picture of their efforts and perseverance throughout their academic years, and urging everyone to view the GPA as a benchmark for self-development and academic advancement.
