The campaign also focused on promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors that help prevent diabetes, such as following a balanced diet, reducing sugar and fat intake, engaging in regular physical activity, and maintaining a healthy body weight. The campaign included the presentation of educational posters, awareness images, and simplified scientific materials explaining how diabetes develops in the body, its early symptoms, and ways to live with the disease. In addition, guidance was provided on the importance of periodic blood glucose testing, especially for individuals at higher risk, such as those with a family history of diabetes or those suffering from obesity and physical inactivity. During the event, the campaign supervisor, Asst. Lect. Haider Mutlak Mousa, delivered a speech emphasizing that health awareness represents a fundamental step in preventing chronic diseases. He stressed that the role of academic institutions goes beyond education to include community service and the dissemination of health culture among its members. He also noted that such activities contribute to building a health-conscious generation capable of protecting itself and its community from diseases. The campaign witnessed notable interaction from students and attendees, with many questions raised regarding prevention methods and appropriate nutrition for diabetic patients. These questions were answered by the supervising staff in a clear and scientifically simplified manner.
