Cosmetic procedures—whether minimally invasive such as laser therapy, microneedling, and injectable treatments, or surgical such as rhinoplasty, liposuction, and blepharoplasty—are interventions whose final outcomes largely depend on the efficiency of the healing process following the procedure. After any cosmetic intervention, the body undergoes a sequence of biological phases, including the inflammatory phase, the proliferative phase, and the remodeling phase. These stages require energy, structural components, and balanced immune support to ensure optimal recovery.
Nutrition plays a central role in all of these phases, as poor nutritional status may lead to delayed wound healing and reduced quality of regenerated tissues. Protein is considered the cornerstone of tissue.
