The healthcare sector is undergoing rapid transformation due to the development of mobile health (mHealth) technologies, which rely on smartphones and wearable devices to deliver flexible and accessible digital health services. The widespread adoption of smartphones and advances in wireless communication technologies have enabled individuals to continuously monitor their health status, thereby strengthening the concept of preventive care and self-management. These technologies are based on collecting and analyzing vital data through intelligent applications that provide real-time information and personalized recommendations to enhance quality of life and support informed health decisions. Smartphone applications play a central role in monitoring physical health by tracking physical activity, heart rate, sleep patterns, and calorie consumption, in addition to supporting the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. These applications depend on data analytics algorithms to generate periodic reports and early alerts when abnormal indicators are detected, allowing timely intervention before health conditions worsen. Digital health applications also improve medication adherence by providing reminders and dosage organization tools, which increases therapeutic compliance and reduces complications. In the field of mental health, smart applications have become supportive platforms for psychological guidance and behavioral monitoring. They offer tools to measure stress and anxiety levels, along with digital programs for meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy. These applications help reduce social stigma by providing confidential and private access to support services, encouraging individuals to seek assistance when needed. Continuous analysis of behavioral patterns can also detect early mood changes, helping prevent the progression of mental health disorders. Wearable devices, such as smartwatches and fitness trackers, further enhance personal healthcare management by collecting accurate real-time data on vital indicators. These devices can measure heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and physical activity levels, while some advanced models are capable of recording electrocardiograms and detecting falls among older adults. The collected data integrate with health applications to create a comprehensive monitoring system that enables long-term health trend analysis, empowering both individuals and healthcare providers to make data-driven decisions. Moreover, mHealth technologies help reduce pressure on healthcare institutions by minimizing unnecessary hospital visits. Health data can be shared remotely with physicians for digital consultations and rapid assessments, improving healthcare system efficiency and responsiveness, particularly in remote areas with limited medical infrastructure. As artificial intelligence and data analytics technologies continue to evolve, these solutions are expected to offer increasingly proactive and personalized healthcare.
