In line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), Ms. Tamara Nihad and Riyam Safaa conducted a distinguished educational workshop for fourth-year students in the Department of Optometry entitled: "How to Manufacture Lenses and Eyeglasses." The workshop aimed to equip students with both scientific knowledge and practical skills required for lens and eyeglass production, starting from selecting raw materials, through shaping and polishing, and ending with fitting lenses into frames. It also included practical exercises to enhance students’ technical competencies and to emphasize the importance of accuracy and quality in this field. This workshop is part of the department’s academic efforts to develop students’ practical skills and link theoretical knowledge with hands-on applications, thereby enhancing their professional readiness upon graduation.
