Objective
The Department of Optometry Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University seeks to achieve the following objectives:
Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of the scientific foundations of medical optics and the principles of vision examination and diagnosis of visual disorders, identify the components and functions of optical instruments, and understand occupational safety standards in their use.
Graduates will comprehend the theoretical and practical principles of vision assessment, explain mechanisms for measuring visual acuity, evaluating strabismus, and diagnosing visual impairments in accordance with recognized professional standards.
Graduates will apply practical skills in conducting vision examinations, determining refractive errors, selecting appropriate lenses, and efficiently operating modern optical instruments and electronic examination systems within clinical environments.
Graduates will participate in practical activities related to lens fabrication and fitting, production of optical substitutes, and contribute to the operation, maintenance, and preservation of ophthalmic medical equipment.
Graduates will evaluate the quality of provided optical services, analyze examination outcomes, and assess their accuracy in accordance with quality assurance standards, professional ethics, and academic accreditation requirements.
Graduates will develop innovative optical solutions and technologies, participate in applied scientific research, and contribute to community service by supporting vision care programs and improving the quality of healthcare services.
