In line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), the Department of Optics organized an innovative educational activity in the form of a visual competition, aiming to develop students’ skills in diagnosing eye diseases and enhance their practical and theoretical capabilities in this vital field. The activity was organized by M.M. Hamza Nader Abdoon and Dr. Nilofer Ali Hamoud, and featured a variety of clinical images representing real cases of different eye diseases. Students were tasked with analyzing these images and accurately diagnosing the presented conditions. Through this competition, students benefited by: Applying the theoretical knowledge acquired in practical lectures. Developing their analytical and diagnostic skills in a hands-on manner. Strengthening their ability to handle real clinical cases with high competence. The organizers emphasized that such educational activities contribute to refining students’ practical skills and prepare them to face professional challenges in their future workplaces. This approach enhances the quality of education and training in the Department of Optics, reflecting the university’s commitment to providing advanced, applied education that meets modern standards.
