Department of Biochemistry Participates in the National Afforestation Program

The Department of Biochemistry participated in the activities of the National Afforestation Program, which was launched on Saturday, March 14, at 9:30 a.m., under the generous patronage of the President of the University, with the participation of several academic departments, faculty members, and students. This participation came as part of supporting environmental and national initiatives aimed at expanding green spaces and raising awareness about the importance of protecting the environment. It also contributes to improving the aesthetic appearance of the university environment and providing a healthy atmosphere for students and academic staff. The event included planting a number of trees and plants across the university campus, with the active participation of faculty members and students from the department. Participants emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting a culture of volunteer work and environmental responsibility among students, encouraging them to actively participate in activities that serve both the community and the environment. The department administration also affirmed its commitment to supporting national programs that enhance environmental awareness and promote teamwork and cooperation among students. These initiatives play an important role in spreading the culture of afforestation and preserving natural resources, in line with the university’s vision of supporting environmental sustainability and community service. The event witnessed a positive atmosphere and strong engagement from participants, who expressed their enthusiasm for contributing to the success of this important environmental initiative.
