In support of Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action) set by the United Nations, the Optical Technologies Department participated in the major tree-planting campaign organized by AL-Mustaqbal University in Iraq. The campaign was held across the university’s corridors and gardens with the participation of several academic departments and students, aiming to enhance environmental awareness and support initiatives that increase green spaces within the university campus. The campaign was attended by the Head of the Optical Technologies Department along with the Activities Coordinator of the department, in addition to a number of the department’s students who contributed to planting several trees and plants in different locations around the campus. The event took place in a cooperative atmosphere reflecting the spirit of teamwork and belonging to the academic institution. This participation reflects the department’s commitment to supporting environmental and community activities organized by the university, given their important role in promoting environmental awareness and strengthening the values of cooperation and responsibility among students.
