Al-Mustaqbal University Inaugurates Agricultural Research Station to Support Applied Research and Sustainable Development Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Agricultural Research Station was inaugurated on Monday, June 16, 2025, within the university campus. The opening ceremony coincided with the activities of National Afforestation Day. This initiative aligns with the university's ongoing efforts to support applied scientific research and promote sustainable agricultural development, bridging academic knowledge with practical experience in the agricultural sector. Purpose and Focus of the Research Station: The station, established under the supervision of the Diwan Affairs Department, is dedicated to overseeing the implementation of applied studies and field experiments. The goal is to enhance agricultural production and optimize the use of natural resources. The station conducts scientifically rigorous agricultural experiments, including: Crop variety improvement Evaluation of modern agricultural technologies Soil and water management Pest and disease control Development of sustainable farming systems These efforts are carried out with a strong reliance on statistical designs and experimental methodologies to ensure reliable and applicable results. Specialized Units: The research station is equipped with specialized units that include: Experimental fields Greenhouses Laboratories for soil, water, and plant analysis Seed multiplication and crop variety improvement units These facilities provide a comprehensive environment for applied agricultural research.
