Department of Business Administration at the College of Administrative Sciences, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a specialized online workshop entitled “The Role of Management in Reducing Waste and Improving Resource Efficiency.” The workshop was presented by the Head of the Department, Dr. Amjad Hamid Majid, who highlighted the twelfth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, related to responsible consumption and production. The workshop covered modern leadership strategies for optimizing the use of available resources within institutions and ways to reduce operational waste to ensure long-term economic and environmental sustainability. During his presentation, Dr. Majid emphasized that adopting sustainable management practices is no longer optional but a vital necessity to enhance institutional performance and instill values of social responsibility among both staff and students, contributing positively to the national economy. The Department of Business Administration affirmed its commitment to continuing these high-quality events, which aim to bridge the gap between academic theories and practical field applications, further strengthening Al-Mustaqbal University’s position as a leading academic institution supporting Iraq’s vision for sustainable development.
