The Department of Medical Rehabilitation Technologies and Physiotherapy at the College of Health and Medical Technologies held an awareness-raising scientific workshop entitled “Climate Change, Rising Temperatures, and Their Impact on Water Scarcity” on Friday (27/3/2026), with the aim of enhancing environmental and health awareness among students and linking environmental issues to health and rehabilitation fields. The workshop focused on explaining the causes of climate change and the effects of rising temperatures on water resources, as well as their impact on human health and quality of life. It also highlighted the environmental and health challenges associated with water scarcity. In addition, the workshop included a scientific presentation supported by examples, addressing preventive solutions such as rationalizing water consumption and promoting sound environmental behaviors. The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of integrating academic and community efforts to promote sustainability and protect natural resources Al-Mustaqbal University, the first university in Iraq.
