The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized a training workshop entitled “Excel Workshop to Master Basic and Advanced Data Skills”, aiming to develop students’ abilities in handling and analyzing data using Microsoft Excel, and to link these skills with academic and practical applications in the healthcare field.
The workshop covered the fundamental concepts of Excel, including data entry and organization, as well as the use of basic formulas and functions. It also progressed to advanced skills such as data analysis, creating Pivot Tables, and visualizing data through charts and graphs.
In addition, the workshop included practical applications supported by real-life examples, which enhanced students’ understanding of how to utilize data in decision-making and improve both academic and professional performance, with a focus on accuracy in analysis and clarity in presenting information.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of mastering data analysis skills in light of ongoing digital transformation, and the need to apply these skills across various disciplines to enhance students’ competencies and better prepare them for the labor market.
