Al-Mustaqbal University held a scientific workshop entitled “The End of the Abbasid Caliphate,” organized by the Department of Archaeology at the College of Arts and Humanities, as part of its academic activities aimed at enhancing students’ historical awareness. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ali Farhan Zuwair, who reviewed the major stages of the Abbasid Caliphate leading to its decline, highlighting the political and military factors that contributed to its fall, as well as the impact of this event on the course of Islamic history. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and students, and included engaging scientific discussions that enriched the topic, reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting scientific research and promoting historical knowledge among its students.
