As part of efforts to enhance technical skills, keep pace with digital developments, and achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), the Department of Optics Techniques organized a workshop titled “Fundamentals of the Linux System and Its Applications in Academic and Technical Environments,” presented by Msc Fatima Haider Jassim Al-Azzawi on Monday 6/4/2026, with the participation of a number of faculty members. The workshop aimed to introduce the Linux system as one of the most important open-source systems, highlighting the basics of the system and its applications in the fields of programming, system administration, and information security, along with a practical demonstration of how to work with it. The workshop saw significant engagement, underscoring the department’s commitment to supporting technical education and keeping pace with the demands of the modern digital environment.
