The Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering Techniques at the College of Engineering Technology, Mustaqbal University, organized a field awareness campaign targeting third-year students on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, within the university campus. Titled "Preserving Our Resources Through Our Daily Choices," the campaign was supervised by Dr. Ziad Taha Yassin, Asst. Lect. Rusul Mohsin, and Assistant Lecturer Suhad Abdul Amir. It aimed to enhance students' environmental awareness and highlight the strategic importance of natural resources, emphasizing the role of individual behaviors in conservation and reducing material and environmental waste. The campaign covered comprehensive topics focusing on rationalizing water and energy consumption, as well as mechanisms for reuse and waste reduction. Practical models were presented to help students develop skills for adopting sustainable lifestyles both inside and outside the university. The activity saw wide engagement through discussions that enriched the practical aspects of the campaign. This initiative is part of Mustaqbal University's efforts to establish a culture of sustainability, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), and Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), aiming to build an academic generation conscious of environmental protection.
