The Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering Techniques at the College of Engineering Technology, Mustaqbal University, organized a field awareness campaign targeting third-year students on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, within the university campus. Held under the slogan "Save Your Energy… Save Your Planet," the campaign was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Muyassar Munther, Asst. Lect. Ali Kareem, and Assistant Lecturer Suhad Abdul Amir. It aimed to spread awareness regarding the importance of energy conservation and its pivotal role in environmental protection and reducing carbon emissions, while clarifying the direct link between daily consumption and global environmental changes. The campaign featured a detailed explanation of energy sources and the consequences of excessive use, alongside practical guidelines and applied examples to help students reduce waste within the university and in their daily lives. The activity saw wide engagement from third-year students through interactive discussions that enhanced the individual's role in supporting sustainability and protecting the planet’s resources. This initiative is part of Mustaqbal University’s efforts to establish an environmental culture within the academic community, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and Goal 13 (Climate Action), striving to prepare a generation of engineers conscious of their responsibility toward contemporary environmental issues.
