Under the patronage and guidance of the President of AL-Mustaqbal University, and under the supervision of the Deanship of the College of Health and Medical Techniques, the Department of Optics Techniques achieved a distinguished scientific accomplishment through its active participation in the Excellence and Creativity Competition held by the Central Technical University on Monday, April 6, 2025, which featured fierce competition with the participation of more than 60 patents from various academic institutions. The department’s team secured first place, an achievement that reflects the department’s level of scientific and research excellence and its ability to present innovative ideas that contribute to the development of applied and technical fields. This victory was achieved with the participation of a select group of faculty members and department staff, namely: Msc Mahim Samir Aref and Msc Hassan Faiz (Department Chair), along with administrative staff member Ghufran Sabah, and with the outstanding participation of department students Hamza Saeed and Sajad Abbas. This achievement reflects the advanced level reached by the Department of Optics Techniques in supporting scientific research and fostering innovation, as well as its active role in preparing qualified scientific cadres capable of competing in academic environments, in line with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 on quality education. The department also reaffirms its commitment to adopting a culture of excellence and striving for further scientific achievements, thereby contributing to strengthening the university’s academic presence and consolidating its standing at both the local and international levels.
