Al-Mustaqbal University (Iraq) concluded today its participation in the EURIE 2026 - Eurasia Higher Education Summit, held in Istanbul from April 7 to 9, 2026, with broad participation from international higher education institutions.
The university delegation, led by senior academic leaders, took part in the summit’s activities—one of the leading global platforms for higher education—focusing on strengthening international cooperation and exchanging academic and research expertise.
During the summit, Al-Mustaqbal University signed the “Future Sustainability Charter 2026,” which adopts a flexible and sustainable academic vision aimed at integrating artificial intelligence technologies and digital transformation into educational and administrative processes, in addition to achieving “zero emissions” across the campus and affiliated teaching hospitals.
The delegation held a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of leading international universities and institutions affiliated with the Eurasian Universities Union, discussing the launch of joint programs and expanding scientific cooperation to improve the quality of education and research.
The university’s pavilion at the accompanying exhibition attracted numerous academic delegations, where key achievements in global rankings were showcased, including Times Higher Education, along with the development of its research infrastructure.
The delegation emphasized that this participation aligns with the university’s strategy of “localizing innovation” by developing curricula to meet the demands of the global economy and fostering an inclusive educational environment that supports the Sustainable Development Goals.
The delegation noted that participation in the summit represents a strategic step toward building sustainable bridges with the international academic community, highlighting that signing the sustainability charter reflects the university’s commitment to future generations.
Through this participation, Al-Mustaqbal University continues to strengthen its position as a leading educational institution in the region, striving to transfer global expertise to Iraq and develop national competencies in line with the highest international standards.
