In a remarkable scientific achievement adding to its record of academic successes, Optics Techniques Department at AL-Mustaqbal University secured first place in the Excellence and Innovation Competition organized by the Central Technical University on Monday 6/4/2026, which saw widespread participation with over 60 entries from various academic institutions. This participation was directed by the Presidency of AL-Mustaqbal University and supervised by the Deanship of the Faculty of Health and Medical Technology, with the Department fielding a distinguished scientific team comprising a select group of lecturers and students, who contributed to presenting a high-quality project reflecting the Department’s advanced scientific and practical standards. The participating team included the following faculty members: Msc Mahiman Samir Aref Msc Hassan Faiz (Department Coordinator) alongside administrator Ghufran Sabah and students: Hamza Saeed and Sajad Abbas. This victory reflects the advanced academic standing of the Optics Techniques Department and its ongoing commitment to supporting creativity and innovation, thereby contributing to academic excellence and strengthening its role in serving the community. The department’s management reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to continuing to achieve academic accomplishments and to introducing further initiatives that raise the standard of academic performance and instil a culture of innovation among students.
