As part of its participation in the Fourth Annual Sustainability Exhibition and in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), the Department of Optics organized a scientific and service-oriented activity involving vision screening for students and visitors, using the latest approved optical devices and technologies. The activity was held on Sunday, 12/4/2026. The event witnessed a remarkable turnout from exhibition visitors, where the academic staff: Dr. Niloofar Ali Hammoud Lecturer Mustafa Haidar Ms. Riham Safaa Najm Ms. Islam Fadel Abbas provided visual acuity measurements and preliminary screening for visual disorders. This contributed to raising health awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations and the prevention of visual impairments. This initiative comes within the framework of supporting health sustainability goals, linking academic learning with practical application and community service, reflecting the department’s role in serving society and promoting health culture within university activities.
