As part of the activities of the 4th Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Week 2026, Al-Mustaqbal University continued its scientific programs for the second consecutive day on Monday, April 13, 2026, with the inauguration of a collection of innovative projects at the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research. The event was inaugurated by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, in the presence of a number of assistants, college deans, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, as well as a distinguished group of faculty members, students, and representatives from the private sector. The event aimed to highlight the projects of students from the Engineering Technical College, where the showcased innovations covered a variety of fields, including renewable energy, environmental protection, and green buildings, in addition to advanced projects in mechatronics, cybersecurity, and information and communication technologies. This reflects the university’s direction toward supporting digital transformation and achieving sustainable development goals. During his tour, the University President reviewed the project details and implementation mechanisms, emphasizing the importance of supporting young talents and empowering students to transform their ideas into practical applications that serve society and contribute to building a sustainable knowledge-based economy. He also praised the efforts of the teaching staff in nurturing these initiatives and guiding them toward innovation. The event also witnessed active participation from private sector companies and the Oil Research and Development Center, who enriched the exhibition by sharing their practical experiences and expertise, thereby strengthening the link between higher education outcomes and labor market needs.
