As part of the activities of the Future Sustainability Week, the Optical Technologies Department organized a distinguished scientific event on Monday, April 13, 2026 at the Activities Hall BC-301.. The event took the form of a specialized workshop held in collaboration with Al-Daqiqa Company Ltd. – HOYA Iraq, highlighting the latest intelligent technologies in vision testing and optical measurement. The workshop featured a presentation of the HOYA VisuReal Move AI system, an advanced technology that utilizes artificial intelligence to simulate visual experiences and accurately calculate eyeglass measurements. This contributes to improving the quality of optical services and delivering highly personalized solutions to users. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ practical skills, keep pace with technological advancements in optical technologies, and promote innovation within the healthcare sector. Furthermore, the event aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by supporting technologies that improve eye care quality, Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through the adoption of smart medical solutions, and Goal 4 (Quality Education) by advancing students’ skills and practical competencies. This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities through which the department seeks to bridge academic knowledge with modern technological developments, thereby enhancing students’ readiness for the labor market and contributing to a sustainable and technologically advanced future.
